COB LEDs with up to 80W and 5000 Lumen
With our new category "Chip on Board LEDs" (COB) we expand our range of products in the upper power range with COB LED Arrays and light-emitting diodes by Bridgelux with luminous fluxes of up to 5000 lumen. Bridgelux is a company specialised in super-high-power light-emitting diodes in the US and is managed by Mark Swoboda – brother of the Cree CEO Chuck Swoboda.

The thoroughly selected Cree MP-L works with many chips in a very small casing (12 x 13mm). It reaches a luminous flux of 800lm with one CRI of 80 and is the perfect choice for light-intensive applications.

LUMITRONIX expands its range of products with G4 LED- pin-base bulbs with up to 230lm (brighter than a 20W bulb). All G4 models are available in cold white and warm white. The warm-white light of the G4 LED lamps is very agreeable and can hardly be distinguished from conventional bulbs.

TU Darmstadt defends title at the Solar Decathlon 2009
The Team Germany again wins the power engineering competition of the US-Energy Ministry with a light concept exclusively with the LED technology sponsored by LUMITRONIX. In particular XR20 spots and high power SMD LED strips were used. We are happy with you and congratulations!

With 325lm Cree sets a new standard. With 3x3mm the XP-G is hardly larger than the head of a match and is thus one of the smallest high-power light emitting diodes.

LUMILEDS discontinues hundreds of LED types
Lumileds LUXEON has discontinued more than 100 types of products and will not produce them anymore from about mid-2010. These products include all LUXEON I, LUXEON III, LUXEON V, LUXEON K2 and some Low-Flux LUXEON Rebel LEDs. After the clearing of the range of products by Lumileds only the High-Flux Rebel will remain. The above mentioned types will not be ordered anymore or only to a limited extent and are only available while stocks last.

Ultra-Slim LED Panels: Eight times brighter than a 60-Watt bulb
Ultra-slim LED panels with a height of only 13mm are very filigree and perfectly suited to illuminate even large living rooms. Up to 360 generate 72Watt LED light. In our LED-measuring laboratory the panels in white and warm-white reach a fabulous efficiency of more than 70lm/W and a luminous flux of more than 5000lm. This corresponds to approx. 8 times that of a 60W bulb. A CRI of more than 90 (warm-white) provides an extraordinarily natural and comfortable light.
XR20 LED spots: TÜV, made in Germany and 5-years-warranty
Thanks to the in-house development and production our XR20 LED spots reach a maximum of safety, quality and efficiency. In a rapid test Stiftung Warentest, the leading German consumer safety group, has examined a total of 11 different LED spots for the special issue “Energie Spezial" (05/2009). The LUMITRONIX LED spot turned out to be the most efficient one in the test. Stiftung Warentest calculated an energy saving of 47€ after 10,000 hours in comparison with comparably brighter bulbs – also the best result.
